Pharmacy

When considering options for purchasing your pet's medication, pet owners have many choices, including online pharmacies and mail-order catalogs. At Terrace Heights Family Pet Clinic we pride ourselves on offering educated research based knowledge about the medications prescribed for your pet. As a much loved member of your family your pet's health and happiness is paramount to you. You expect your pet to receive quality care and that includes the medications they are prescribed. As a licensed veterinarian Dr. Hays' has years of experience and knowledge that includes pharmacology and the health of your pet. It's important to keep in mind that not all pharmacies have the training or knowledge that is available to you through your veterinarian. When giving your cat or dog medications especially new ones it's important to keep in mind that your pet similarly to people may suffer from an adverse reaction, medication interaction, or serious possible side effect. All of which are stressful, potentially life threatening, and would benefit from the expertise of a veterinarian familiar with your pet's health and the pharmaceutical product itself. We maintain a varied inventory of veterinary pharmaceutical products and medications, including flea, tick, and heart worm preventive products. Whether your pet requires medication for a chronic medical condition or needs short-term medication while recovering from an illness, injury, or surgery our pharmacy is available to fill your pet's prescriptions and answer any questions you may have. Safety and quality are very important to us and we expect those to be met in every aspect of caring for your pet which includes their medications. When filling your pet’s medications you can trust that they were obtained from a safe, reliable source and stored under optimal conditions. We pride ourselves on the ability to fill your pet's prescriptions with care, attention to detail, as well as provide you with accurate information about your pet’s medications, including proper dosing information, and the ability to alert you to any potential drug side effects or interactions. We also have an affordable and safe online pharmacy option available through Vetsource for our clients who prefer home delivery.
